Time period - collection

Segment(s) of the time period for which the observations have been collected (such as middle, average or end of period) for the target reference period.

This is not a stand-alone concept; it is related to the concept TIME_PERIOD which it further specifies (e.g. TIME_PERIOD "Monthly" and TIME_PER_COLLECT "End of period").

This concept is crucial in case of time period transformations.
