Dimension

Statistical concept used in combination with other statistical concepts to identify a statistical series or individual observations.

In SDMX, "dimension" is a statistical concept used (most probably together with other statistical concepts) to identify a series, e.g. a statistical concept indicating a particular economic activity or a geographical reference area.
