SDMX Documents

As part of the Interoperability Basis platform, we publish key SDMX documents in a structured, semantically enriched format. These documents — including guidelines, standards, and metadata specifications — are presented as hypertext pages, preserving their original structure and layout.

Each document is annotated with hyperlinks to relevant glossary entries, code lists, and related documentation. This semantic markup helps users:

  • Navigate complex SDMX materials more easily
  • Understand relationships between sections and concepts
  • Verify consistent terminology use and correct interpretation of key terms
  • Explore the contextual meaning of each document element

By turning static documentation into interconnected resources, we make SDMX content more transparent, accessible, and reusable — both for experts and newcomers working with statistical metadata.

The transformation and enrichment of documents is maintained directly by the Interoperability Basis team, with a focus on semantic consistency, contextual clarity, and meaningful interlinking. This work improves the usability of SDMX materials in linked data environments and supports their integration into knowledge management systems.
